Salary Range: 55k-75k/yr.
The position of Superintendent is primarily accountable for assisting the Project Manager in managing and completing reconstruction projects. Superintendents will traditionally have several subcontractors working on an allotment of projects as they are capable of handling. This is an AT WILL position
Verify estimate accuracy and create budgets
Review and provide job costing, estimates and budgets for projects
Create and maintain job schedule
Meet project schedules and goals
Update project files daily
Direct Customer with material selections
Coordinate, observe and manage trades so they perform their work in a quality manner consistent with the applicable plans, specifications, industry standards and contract requirements
Set up job site and materials and see that all notices, safety rules and regulations are in place
Ensure that safety regulations are followed by the company and the subcontractors
Always maintain a high standard of quality control
High school diploma or equivalent
Five or more years of experience in construction, carpentry, dry wall, carpeting, painting and project management
Supervisory skills
Valid State driver’s license
When working on a job site employees may be working employees will be working around cleaning supplies, deodorization, and other products with chemical base
Required to climb ladders and work in high places
Ability to stand, walk, squat, climb, crouch, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull equipment and retrieve items and exert a moderate amount of physical effort to perform such duties
Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone
Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 75 lbs. and occasionally 100 lbs., to perform the functions of the job
Must be capable of working fire, smoke and/or water damage environments that have potential for mold or mildew
When working onsite at the main office the employee must possess ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, include a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various customers and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone
Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard, typewriter keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment
Must have ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information
Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances
Employees also work outdoors with varying temperatures
Workers may be subject to uncomfortable working conditions including exposure to extreme heat or cold, dust, noise, unusual heights, confined spaces, electrical currents and construction hazards
Due to the nature of the work, often the job sites will be dirty, possibly cold or wet and sometimes unsanitary
