OVERVIEW:
- CR Concrete is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet and equipment. This role involves inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, welding, and repair work on a variety of heavy, medium, and light-duty equipment and vehicles
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct DOT safety inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, vehicles, and small engines
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and accurate service logs
- Assist with training junior mechanics
- Road test vehicles to ensure proper function
- Follow all safety protocols
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance (construction industry preferred)
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge
- Full set of personal tools (specialty tools provided)
- CDL license preferred or ability to obtain one
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to nearby job sites
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
